Enlightening Tourism: 1^st International Conference

Competition and Innovation in Tourism: New Challenges in an Uncertain Environment

Naples (Italy), 13th-14th September 2012

Dear colleague,

I'd like to inform you that the Organising Committee defined the selection of Keynote Speakers involved in the Conference.

In particular, in the Plenary Session scheduled on 13^th of September, two speeches will be held by:

• Jafar JAFARI, Department of Hospitality and Tourism, College of Management, University of Wisconsin Stout.
• Hannah MESSERLI, Private Sector Development/Tourism, The World Bank Group.

In the second Plenary Session scheduled on 14^th of September, other two speeches will be held by

• Andrew CHURCH, School of Environment and Technology, University of Brighton.
• Joanne BADDELEY, Sustainable Destination Management, Thomas Cook UK & Ireland

All papers will be published on the Conference Proceedings. Moreover, the best papers will be part of a special issues of  Enlightening Tourism. A Pathmaking Journal. At this stage there are informal links with other international journals.

Lastly, according to the number and the quality of the papers, one or two books will be published by Mc Graw-Hill Publisher.

In the attached brochure you will find the updated information concerning the Conference.

I would like to remind you that the deadline for abstract submission is 28^th February.

V Jornadas de Investigación en Turismo

V JORNADAS DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN TURISMO

Facultad de Turismo y Finanzas

Sevilla, 17 y 18 de mayo de 2012

Las Quintas Jornadas de Investigación en Turismo tendrán lugar en Sevilla (España) durante los días 17 y 18 de mayo de 2012.  Con ellas se pretende dar continuidad a las Jornadas celebradas en cursos pasados y que pusieron de relieve el interés suscitado por parte de un número elevado de investigadores especializados en el campo del turismo en sus más diversas manifestaciones.

Como novedad, en la próxima edición de las Jornadas se seleccionarán las dos mejores comunicaciones presentadas para su publicación en la revista Vía@. Las restantes comunicaciones presentadas en las Jornadas se editarán en formato digital con su correspondiente ISBN.

Invitamos a todas las personas e instituciones, públicas o privadas, interesadas en las Jornadas a que nos envíen sus trabajos (en español o en inglés).

Bajo el título general "Turismo y Sostenibilidad", las principales áreas a tratar serán:

-Economía y Empresa

-Derecho

-Patrimonio e Historia del Arte

-Geografía

-Antropología y Sociología

-Otras Áreas

 Las fechas límite de interés en cuanto a remisión de originales y comunicación de aceptación de los trabajos presentados son las siguientes:

•  Envío de resúmenes (en español e inglés) del trabajo a presentar (máximo 200 palabras), o, en su caso, del trabajo completo: hasta el 1 de marzo de 2012 (inclusive). En el plazo máximo de 10 días desde la recepción del resumen, los comunicantes recibirán, en su caso, la admisión PROVISIONAL de trabajos.
• Envío final de los trabajos completos: 31de marzo de 2012.
• El Comité Científico de las Jornadas notificará a los comunicantes la admisión definitiva y, en su caso, las modificaciones o mejoras propuestas antes del 21 de abril de 2012.
• Admisión del texto completo de las comunicaciones definitivas: 2 de mayo de 2012.
